So the leading Internet Organizations (InterNic, NetworkSolutions, CoreNic and ICANN) founded InterAd together with the US Department Of Commerce.

InterAd routs a certain amout of web requests not directly to the desired location, but through a Partner Advertisment with a small survey. After you took part in the survey, you will be able to continue surfing.

This helps us having the Root Servers up and running for the whole world.
